Kaohsiung Smart City Summit and Exhibition 2024 presents the latest digital and zero-transformation technologies

The 2024 Kaohsiung Smart City Summit and Exhibition (KSCSE) held at the Exhibition Center of Kaohsiung was a great finish. More than 40,000 visitors visited it during the three-day exhibition. In total there were 150 exhibitors, 550 booths and 6 main conferences with more than 200 potential foreign suppliers showing applications including 5G, AI, IoT and Big Data. Kaohsiung, which has repeatedly achieved excellent results in smart city evaluations, is focusing on new business opportunities in smart and Net zero transformation. The growth of the sustainable net toll business fair area and the intelligent health care business fair area continued, but the first COP city, the international urban climate summit and the Smart Hospital Conference were first moved to Kaohsiung. This shows the Kaohsiung city government’s determination to develop smart city innovation in key areas through public-private partnership (PPP).

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai said at the opening that Kaohsiung is special with extreme climate change and carbon tariffs. emphasis on transition to net zero and digital transformation. Kaohsiung hopes to jointly develop ideas and share urban management experiences with other cities through international urban cooperation vessels such as ICLEI, WeGO and CityNet. In addition, it is hoped that the rich digital and net-zero achievements presented by the industry can accelerate the transition to a net-zero regime.
