United becomes first airline to add new larger air tanks to Embraer E175

United Airlines has taken a significant step toward improving passenger comfort and operational efficiency by announcing new larger air tanks on Skywest – the Embraer E175 serving the fleet. This change marks United as the first airline to offer such accommodations on E175 aircraft.

The initiative aims to provide passengers with plenty of room for carry-on bags. By the end of this year, these new bins will be available on 50 aircraft in a 76-seat configuration. United plans to expand this offering to potentially more than 150 aircraft by the end of 2026.
